Who is Ant?
Mark Anthony Duckitt is a South African director, editor, motion graphics artist, and the founder of Pronoia.Africa, a non-profit creative platform that discovers and amplifies undiscovered talent across the continent through music, video, and digital storytelling. With over 20 years of experience in design and broadcast, Mark has worked across major creative studios including Silver Bullet Productions and Concept Interactive. On 13 May 2013, a car accident left him paralysed on his right side with limited use of his hand, ending one career and beginning another. He channelled his recovery into building Pronoia.Africa, driven by the belief that the universe conspires in your favour. His documentary, M.A.D Stories (Mark Anthony, Duckitt), won Best Documentary at the Cannes Indie Short Film Festival in 2025.
