M.A.D Stories is an award-winning documentary that follows the true story of Mark Anthony Duckitt, the founder of Pronoia.Africa. In May 2013, a car crash left Mark paralysed on his right side, an event that could have ended his story but instead rewrote it. The film traces his journey from aspiring rapper and motion graphics editor navigating South Africa’s underground music and multimedia scenes, through encounters with local icons like Jack Parow and Waddy Jones of Die Antwoord, to founding Pronoia.Africa as a platform empowering struggling artists. The documentary won Best Documentary at the Cannes Indie Short Film Festival and has since been nominated at the Tokyo Indie Shorts Fest, Venice Shorts, and the Hip Hop Film Festival.Simiato Matik - Bosman
