The Rise of Hip Hop Photography
Native from Bronx where she grew up in the 80’s and 90’s, Lisa Leone has been surrounded by the hip-hop rise community. With her passion for photography, the woman began to capture portraits of men and women who today are hip-hop iconic musicians. IAMDDB (I Am DD B) is a 21-year-old artist from Manchester, north England, via Portugal and Angola. She rides spiky hip-hop beats with a drawling, elastic flow that glides between singing and speech, and calls her sound “urban jazz.” You might not have heard of her yet, but she’s super prolific, so you’ve got some catching up to do.
